Your Highness Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al- Jaber Al- Sabah, the Amir of the State of Kuwait

You have kindly entrusted me with the post of Prime Minister and I am aware of the great responsibility you have charged me with; a noble responsibility you have long laid the groundwork for, which will maintain and safeguard it particularly at this extremely sensitive stage that involves challenges and doubled efforts as well as further sacrifices to confront and overcome them.

We are resolved to achieve further, in order to attain our anticipated objectives and aspirations following in the footsteps and under the guidance of Your Highness. Perhaps our increased optimism in a bright and prosperous future is attributed to Your Highness's persistent efforts in the interest of our country and its citizens. I assure Your Highness that we shall consolidate our efforts and cooperate constructively with the National Assembly, and in a constitutional framework with a democratic perspective that reflects the innate values of our society. Thus, the government's performance shall achieve the required qualitative leap on all levels and in all fields.

I pray to Almighty Allah that He guide us in the interest and welfare of our country and that it remains a safe, secure and prosperous country forever.

Please accept Your Highness my highest esteem and appreciation.
