Brother Speaker of the National Assembly,
Ladies and gentlemen members of the National Assembly,
Assalamu Alikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuh

I am pleased, at the closing of the first ordinary session of the thirteenth legislative term of your venerable Assembly, to express on behalf of myself and on behalf of fellow ministers, our sincere and genuine wishes for an eventful repose.
I am honoured at this session, to convey my sincere appreciation and gratitude to His Highness the Amir for his continued support with noble directives and sound opinions in bearing this national responsibility. I am also pleased to convey my sincere affection to His Highness the Crown Prince, and for the Kuwaiti people, praying to the Almighty that Kuwait remains for its people, a lasting source of unity, enjoying a bright future and a durable security .

Ladies and Gentlemen,

The Amiri address  on the inauguration of this legislative term was broad, comprehensive and full of practical directives required in the current stage in order to face the internal and external challenges with responsibility.
His Highness the Amir has put forward his reformatory and development project to clear the accumulations of the previous phases, including the negative aspects and consequences that are of no use to anybody. A commitment to a new approach of reform in the process of national construction, adhere to the priorities of critical issues i.e. national unity and strict implementation of the law as well as finding ways to consolidate positive cooperation between the Assembly and the Government and the correct course of action of the media, as well as the general interest in other issues, particularly services, mainly health, education and housing, etc. On the one hand, this would calm the feelings of anxiety and distress among citizens and create a climate of stability and peace of mind, and drive the momentum of action and production towards greater targeted achievements.

We are in front of an extraordinary opportunity and we must sieze the time and effort to accommodate the Amiri Address with all its dimensions and objectives, particularly with the new phase set by the popular will in the exercise of democracy that was evident the parliamentary elections of your venerable Assembly last May.

Ladies and Gentlemen,

The government submitted to your venerable Assembly a draft of the five year development plan of the State of Kuwait, and will soon present its agenda for the thirteenth legislative term. We are confident that both the plan and the agenda will draw your attention and will find all the support it deserves in order to reach real mutual achievements for the promotion of positive national action in all fields with the beginning of a new phase of cooperation for political stability that will achieve the objectives that we aspire to.
The Government also thanks the Assembly for its renewed confidence in the Minister of Interior following the grilling session. We wish him steady success in his bid to continue the work entrusted to his Ministry in the service of Kuwait and its citizens.

Ladies and Gentlmen

We are on the verge of a new round of national action, and we have an opportunity for thought and reflection, in order to make it a term full of optimism and rich with achievements so as not to waste efforts and miss the target.

In this closing session, I extend my sincere appreciation to your venerable Assembly, speaker, members, committees, members of the secretariat, guards, advisers, and all workers as well as the media who followed the work of the Assembly. Wishing all a happy vacation and safe return. Praying to Allah the Almighty, to grant us success in enhancing our democratic experience, safeguarding our national resolve and unity which will raise our country to a high standing and protect it. May Allah preserve his blessings under the leadership of His Highness the Amir and His trusted Crown Prince.
