In the Holy name of Allah, The Most gracious, The Most merciful.

Esteemed members of the Supreme Council
Venerable President of the State Audit Bureau
Esteemed members of the Municipal Council
Esteemed Chairman and members of the Central Tenders Committee

Assalamu Alaikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuh

We are pleased to meet on this fine day to push forward our strive towards accomplishing the development plan which incorporates beneficial programmes and projects for our people under the leadership of His Highness the Amir and His Highness the Crown Prince.

We have previously stressed that the planning phase has concluded thanks to the efforts of members of the Supreme Council for Planning and Development and operating committees, as well as the cooperation between all ministries and government institute officials, having been ratified by our partner in development; the National Assembly, the time has come to reassert that the implementation phase has successfully been launched with hope that it continues to achieve our aspirations.

Achievement requires a clear vision, solid resolve and perseverance along with concerted efforts on our part; individuals and institutes, to realize our objectives. We are aware that this ambitious plan will not, and can not be achieved without continuous and constructive cooperation in line with legal and constitutional frameworks with our colleagues at the National Assembly, the State Audit Bureau and the Central Tenders Committee.

Ladies and Gentlemen,

We confidently look forward in this new phase of action and cooperation, to continue driving development so we may invest our energy and potential for the welfare of our country, and to elevate its status.

I was keen to meet with you today, so that every one of us assumes their responsibility in implementing the development plan, since it is a plan for the nation and not exclusive to a single institute… We are all partners in this country.

Regional and International challenges encompassing us only serve to encourage us to strive forward, and accomplish government programmes and projects related to development in all fields, and on all levels of action and implementation. The government has been keen to lend its support to ensure the success of the development and implement its projects.

To explain the course of action towards realizing our vision and aspirations, I give the floor to Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs Sheikh Ahmad Fahad Al-Ahmad.
