Sons and Daughters, Loyal Youths of Kuwait,
Assalamu  Alaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh

Today, as we celebrate International Youth Day, It is with much pleasure that I convey the greetings and regards of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and His Highness the Crown Prince, for your significant role and distinguished efforts in building our country Kuwait and hoisting its flag high amongst the flags of other nations.

It also gives me pleasure on this Holy month of Ramadan, the month the Almighty Allah revealed the Holy Quran to the world as a beacon to guide humanity.

Sons and Daughters, Youths of Kuwait,
We are proud to see shining examples of Kuwaiti youths that have occupied prominent international status in the fields of science, technology, medicine, sports and others to confirm to the world that nations are made by their people; men and women.

The youth of Kuwait have proved over the decades that they are the driving force behind construction and development, we are completely confident that they are ever keen to give to our dear country and provide it with the manpower and the knowhow that will strive, contribute and construct for its future.

The youth of Kuwait are the backbone of life that must be continuously supported and regenerated in all aspects of life in our country.

Thanks be to Allah that Kuwait spares no effort in preparing, developing and including youths in the advancement and preservation of their country.

Perhaps we are all aware that His Highness the Amir is always keen to promote the role of youths and emphasize its importance through His Highness’ conviction that they are the” The wealth of Kuwait, the source of its strength and progress”.

Sons and Daughters,

Pre-oil Kuwait lived a harsh and difficult life, yet our fathers and grandfathers faced this harshness with endurance, perseverance and resolve. In spite of all these circumstances, they were able to attain great and distinct achievements.
It was their destiny to bear the burdens of responsibility and sacrifice their nearest and dearest to build their country and lay the pillars of development that it enjoys and reaps the fruit of today.

Responsibility cannot be fragmented; we must all assume it gladly and with conviction for the sake of this country, to preserve it without negligence, maintain it without dissipating it, each generation must plan for the next generation taking into consideration that the permanent and everlasting wealth of Kuwait is mankind, you are the youth of this country on which it pins its hopes.
Today it is the turn of the youth to continue in the course of advancement and construction that our fathers and grandfathers initiated, in order to realize their dreams of building a modern conventional country founded on science and belief, since the fruit of true belief is a structure which prospers life, action which elevates the country and production which benefits the people.

Kuwait has constantly succeeded in exemplifying science and knowledge through scores of cultural forums and scientific institutions, with your creative efforts and open mindedness, these institutions will assume their place in building the new Kuwait, looking forward to a bright future abound with modern science in light of the tolerant teachings of Islam, to continue its leading role on the Arab, Islamic and international levels for the welfare of the whole of mankind, in a world that is steadily becoming closely knitted.

The people of Kuwait are fused together by a life of struggle, toil and building, by the concepts of fraternity, affinity, cooperation and unity. Kuwait has been, remains and will remain through its people; those who work for it, protect its rights, maintain its trust and give it priority and who will be placed in the higher echelons by Almighty Allah.

We pray to the Almighty to grant us success in serving our country that has generously given and deserves a lot on our part, and keep it safe and secure.

Wassalamu Alikum Warahmatullahi Wa Barakatuh.
